Develops, designs, and communicates manufacturing processes.
Monitor and revise processes to help generate cost savings and improve the quality and efficiency of product/process.
Participate in design reviews to improve the ability to manufacture products.
Responsible for the activities related to the development of new processes including researching current and emerging technologies, evaluating process cost, quality, and performing process characterization and optimization studies using designed experiments, problem-solving and decision making tools.
Identify and solve issues or problems with equipment/process. Troubleshoots possible causes and coordinates the activities of maintenance, production and other available resources to implement cost effective solutions.
Plant window person for NPI (new product introduction) and NMI (new RM introduction) between R&D/PM.
Material efficiency improvement through NWSW/SFG handling and reduction, wastage decrease, yield rate continuous improvement.
Provide coordination of new process installation and process changes.
Other projects/duties as assigned.

Participate in development of scale up, process testing plan and procedure, data analysis, and/or communication of results.
Documentation and preparation of product specifications for manufacturing Avient products.
Participates in resolution of plant production issues.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelors -Mechanical Engineering or chemistry Related
Major in Polymer Engineering or compounding process
5+ years working experience, 3+ years in Plastics industry, 3+ years experience on process improvement and optimization
Familiar with twin-screw extruder processing
Familiar with nylon, glass fiber, PP, PE and other materials modified extrusion
Good in written and spoken English, speaking Chinese will be a plus, with strong reading and writing skills in both languages.
Familiar with MS office: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
