OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Procurement & ICV Specialist will oversee procurement strategies and localization initiatives to support project delivery. This role ensures efficient sourcing, vendor management, and compliance with In-Country Value (ICV) requirements, contributing to both cost optimization and alignment with national economic objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage procurement process for mine equipment and MHS, including:
+ Crushers (primary & secondary)
+ Feeders, screens, and auxiliary systems
+ Conveyors and bulk material handling equipment
- Review and coordinate technical specifications with engineering teams
- Prepare and manage tendering process (RFQs, bid evaluations, technical/commercial comparisons)
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors during procurement phase
- Monitor production, inspection, and delivery schedules of equipment
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and contractual requirements
- Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and inspections
- Manage procurement risks affecting installation and commissioning schedule
- Coordinate with Mechanical Engineer and Mine Engineer for equipment readiness and site requirements
- Support logistics planning and delivery to site
- All other activities, which are associated with those responsibilities
- Ensure the implementation of ICV as per the Oman Investment Authority OIA mandates
QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Supply Chain / Procurement
- 10 years in procurement of industrial / mining / bulk material handling equipment
