OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Procurement & ICV Specialist will oversee procurement strategies and localization initiatives to support project delivery. This role ensures efficient sourcing, vendor management, and compliance with In-Country Value (ICV) requirements, contributing to both cost optimization and alignment with national economic objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage procurement process for mine equipment and MHS, including:

+ Crushers (primary & secondary)

+ Feeders, screens, and auxiliary systems

+ Conveyors and bulk material handling equipment

• Review and coordinate technical specifications with engineering teams
• Prepare and manage tendering process (RFQs, bid evaluations, technical/commercial comparisons)
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors during procurement phase
• Monitor production, inspection, and delivery schedules of equipment
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and contractual requirements
• Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and inspections
• Manage procurement risks affecting installation and commissioning schedule
• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineer and Mine Engineer for equipment readiness and site requirements
• Support logistics planning and delivery to site
• All other activities, which are associated with those responsibilities
• Ensure the implementation of ICV as per the Oman Investment Authority OIA mandates

QUALIFICATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Supply Chain / Procurement
• 10 years in procurement of industrial / mining / bulk material handling equipment
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Supply Chain / Procurement
