PROCUREMENT FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW

Procurement is responsible for the buying of all goods and services used in delivering services to our customers as well as HCL internal requirements. The organization is embarking on a transformation program which reflects, huge growth in the business globally over the past 10 years.The transformation has increased the focus on developing our Supplier base through a Global and Regional Category approach, while improving the business understanding and appreciation of the Procurement function. This role provides an excellent opportunity to be a key part of the transformation process and to benefit with the success of the key transformation program.

This role is focused on Procurement of Professional Services for all Customer Contracts that HCL provided Globally to its customer.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Role

• Support the Professional Services Procurement and Category Sourcing function globally during both the pursuit and execution of customer business.

• Support the Development, Implementation, and Execution of Professional Services Category Strategy and Category Knowledge Base (CKB) across all the customers spend Globally.
• Support Development and Execution of Professional Services Category Plans, including identification of Key Strategic Sourcing requirements.
• Increase value from the Professional Services supply base through Innovative Commercial modeling.
• Complete Ownership of the relationships with Professional Services suppliers Globally.
• Monitor, Evaluate and Improve, the Supplier Market using Benchmarks and Category Indices.
• For Non-client requirements, be the Face of Procurement to internal stakeholders
• Support the Consolidation our Professional Services Supplier base to leverage the Spend and Influence whilst managing sourcing risks.
• Work with HCL Global Category Strategy and to develop a Global consistent approach for Professional Services category spend closely with regional counterparts.
• Support the Development of Saving Plans, Track and Report Actuals against Target.
• Support the Development of effective Relationships with Key strategic Professional Services suppliers, to Implement a Supplier Management approach across the Category.
• Build collaborative Relationship with Business Partners, to Support Business, Delivery, and Solutions teams, ensuring early engagement with Procurement function for the category.

Responsibilities

• Manage Key Contract Items, Monitor Contract Metrics and Develop Contract corrective action (Master & Supplier specific).
• Collate and Analyze Category and Project requirements (scope, timeline, and budget)
• Contribute to the Creation of Professional Services Category Strategy and Global Capability Matrix.
• Identification of potential Professional Services Suppliers, working with Business Partners, Sales, Delivery and Regional leadership, collaboration with Category sourcing and Solution Delivery Team.
• Professional Services Category Strategic Sourcing, Supporting Internal and External Consumptions, Confirming Baseline, and Defining future requirements.
• Define TCO/ Commercial Model, Select Relationship Approach, Select Sourcing Approach, and Documentation Strategy
• Facilitate Professional Services supplier Selection process, through direct engagement or competitive bidding process.
• Document Negotiation Strategy, Plan & Execute Negotiations, and record Benefits.
• Negotiate Commercials, Terms and Conditions, in collaboration with Functional, Technical, Sales, Finance, and Legal partners and drive Supplier Contracting process.
• Identify and monitor key category Indices, perform category Analytics, Monitor supplier market, and benchmark as required.
• Monitor Savings/ Rebate Methodologies, and Track & Report Category benefits.
• Adjust/ Manage Supplier Performance and track other contractual KPI's.
• Execute Compliance and Continuous Performance Management framework and manage adoption issues and feedback Category/ Sourcing Plans.
• Prepare Transactional Documentation to Consummate Order.
• Be the Escalation point of the Region for Sales and Delivery for Supplier Contractual issues.
• Proactively work with client project teams to define and execute cost takeout initiatives.

Key Skills:

• 10+ years of strong experience in Professional Services Sourcing and Management

• Exposure to IT Professional Services categories, - Field Services – EUC and NW equipment.

• Familiarity with Complex multi services - Deal management and Complex commercial, and T&C Negotiations.

• Strong communication skills and drive desired results within the organization.

• Excellent people management skills, Proficient in verbal Communication, Writing, Time management, Organizational and Presentation skills

• Excellent Analytical and Decision-making skills are also required, and knowledge of Hardware and Network licensing is desirable

• Exceptionally strong work ethic displaying a mature and professional attitude with an ability to adjust quickly to change

• Exposure to various aspects of the IT procurement, including Commercial Contract Law, Negotiation, Market dynamics, Commercial strategy, Strategic sourcing, Supplier Contract Management and Supplier Relationship Management.

• Good level of Project Management experience, leading complex commercial projects.
