About the Role
Thai Union Group is looking for an analytical and detail-driven Procurement Documentation Officer to support our raw material sourcing operations. In this role, you will collect and analyze shrimp raw material data from suppliers, farms, and the market — transforming it into clear, actionable insights that empower our procurement team and leadership to make faster, smarter sourcing decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, and analyze shrimp raw material data from suppliers, farms, and market sources.
- Prepare reports on price trends, volume, and raw material quality to support the procurement team.
- Develop dashboards and analytical tools (Power BI / Excel) that give management real-time visibility into the sourcing landscape.
- Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze cost structures (cost breakdown) and propose raw material cost-reduction strategies.
- Collaborate with the Procurement, Production, and Quality teams to manage supply-side risk.
- Validate data accuracy and maintain a standardized raw material database.
- Summarize findings and present analytical results to management in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Economics, Fisheries, Food Industry, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in procurement documentation and data analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Office and analytical tools — Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Data Modeling), Power BI, or equivalent.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or in-house procurement systems.
Preferred (an advantage)
- Experience in data analysis or raw material sourcing within the seafood industry (seafood / aquatic processing business is a strong plus).
- Basic understanding of Food Safety, GMP, and HACCP.
