Procurement / Sourcing Engineer

We are seeking a proactive and analytical Senior Purchasing / Sourcing Engineer to support strategic procurement and supplier management activities within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Identify and source suppliers for materials, products, equipment, and molds; evaluate, select, develop, and periodically assess suppliers (especially mold suppliers)
* Evaluate and certify supplier capabilities, including management systems, production capacity, technology, delivery performance, and quality standards
* Develop and implement material cost-control and sourcing strategies for key and critical materials
* Prepare cost analysis and data reports for bulk materials; manage bidding and tender processes
* Identify and control key materials, ensuring optimal supplier allocation and order share management
* Participate in project teams to plan trial procurement, mold investments, material costing, quality targets, and timelines
* Maintain supplier databases, oversee onboarding and price management, and support centralized purchasing initiatives
* Lead commercial negotiations, approve pricing, and finalize contracts and purchase orders
* Manage supplier contracts, track deliveries, handle exceptions, and coordinate issue resolution
* Drive supplier optimization and improvement initiatives
* Coordinate internally to resolve issues related to outsourced operations

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
* Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in automotive or electronics manufacturing
* Experience with supplier sourcing, audits, and APQP / PPAP coordination
* Familiarity with molds, jigs, and tooling procurement
* Knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001
* ERP / SAP experience preferred
* Strong English communication skills; Chinese is an advantage
* Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
