Product Cost Controller

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Design teams to provide data-driven insights, ensuring cost-effective decisions throughout product development.
• Participate in cross-department costing reviews to align product briefs, design intent, and financial targets with accurate costing data.
• Integrate collections planning and new product directions into the costing process, evaluating financial impacts.
• Improve product costing data quality, visibility, and comparability for better decision-making while maintaining product integrity.
• Enhance costing processes by working with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and responsiveness.
• Provide analytical support to Category Managers, Design, and Global Development teams to optimize costs while maintaining product value.
• Identify and implement process improvements, support best practice adoption, and improve costing workflows.
• Serve as the main point of contact between Development, Design, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on costing objectives.
• Maintain accurate costing documentation and deliver regular reports on cost performance and optimization opportunities.
• Keep updated on industry trends and costing innovations to drive competitive product development strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Product Design, or related fields.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Experience in design, prototype, and costing reviews.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Strong commercial insight and the ability to use sound judgment in decision-making.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and costing software is an advantage.
