Product developer (PD) is utilizing the knowledge and skills to develop the product including material (fabric/trim), fit and graphics, through TP & WIP, along with the factories to endure all details completed prior to the production.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Concept Development & SMS
- Material preposition before concept start
- Create concept BOM and complete concept TP/Artwork to the factory
- Communication with factory for discrepancy, etc and update WIP including schedule
- Proto & SMS review with Sourcing & TD
- Work with the factory for the testing and fix potential quality issue through Risk assessment
- SMS buy ready with TPA PD
- SMS buy file to the factory for material preparation
- Dual sourcing if need
- Production Buy Ready
- Team out color up on Enovia including material usage for production plan
- Work with material team for material buy ready per season
- Review SMS with TD to complete SMS Comment sheet
- Production TP completion and distribution
- Communication with the factory for production ready
- Team out s/off approval with Product Art team
- Problem solution with the factory and x-functional team once happen (simpler issue)
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in a related field
- 3-7 years related experience in apparel or headwear development
- Technical Knowledge of fabric/trim/construction and product engineering
- A team player with good attitude & communication
- Proficient in product line management (PLM), databases & MS office applications
- Advanced Excel skill
- Must be detail-oriented, able to multitask & punctual in meeting deadlines
- Willing and able to travel extensively, often to foreign and/or remote locations
- Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and tasks in a fast paced environment. Strong sense of urgency and intuitive sense of priorities and accuracy
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Thai is required
