We specialize in soft goods such as backpacks, bags, wallets, belts, automotive accessories, and pet gear. With sourcing and development operations across the U.S. and Asia, SPG delivers high-quality, brand-right products to global markets. Our Bangkok team plays a key role in supporting product development, compliance, and factory relationships throughout Southeast Asia.

We're hiring a Bangkok-based Product Developer II to lead development across SPG's soft goods categories, with a primary focus on bags and packs, working closely with SPG's U.S. headquarters and Southeast Asian factory partners. This long-term, independent contractor role requires strong fluency in Thai and English, deep experience in cut-and-sew product development, and the ability to manage sample tracking, timelines, and vendor communication. The role includes helping manage SPG's Bangkok office and sample library, with occasional travel throughout Southeast Asia and to the United States.

Position Overview:

The Product Developer II (Bangkok) is responsible for executing commercially viable products that meet consumer, brand, and business needs, with bags and packs as the core category. This individual works closely with SPG's global product development and compliance teams, as well as suppliers across Southeast Asia. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of materials, construction, and manufacturing capabilities and can translate that expertise into innovative, physical product. Clear communication in both Thai and English is essential, as is familiarity with regional factory operations.

The role reports directly to the Bangkok-based Global Compliance & Development Manager and collaborates closely with SPG's Salt Lake City product development team. •     Build and maintain strong factory relationships in Thailand and Southeast Asia to uphold quality, speed, and brand alignment in service of U.S. team goals

Office and Sample Library Management

•     Support day-to-day operations of the SPG Bangkok office

•     Maintain the physical sample library and ensure accurate tagging, filing, and accessibility of samples
