Job Summary & Purpose:

This position holder has to build The Baker's brand awareness and shopping experience and customer satisfaction. He/she will identify products and customer needs for Bakery Department of all The baker stores to find or catch-up new product trend or new living style changes and grasp opportunity to increase brand images and sales.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maximize sale and profit of Bakery especially in Japanese product range according to Department and company direction
  • Develop and redefine Truly World Class services, courtesy and friendliness to targeted customers according to The Baker Standards.
  • Set The Baker standards regarding merchandising, operations and sanitation as being Best Food Store in Asia.
  • Build brand awareness of The Baker concept to be distinguishable towards international visitors/competitors.
  • Drive brand awareness for growth and maintain targeted customers through The Baker shopping experience.
  • Find opportunity and close gap by suggest the action plans for new products and exclusive products in The Baker.
  • Develop space and range strategies by category to meet World Class Standards in The Baker.
  • Suggest merchandising display strategies for all The Baker stores.
  • Plan and support all The Baker new store openings.
  • Develop training program of The Baker for Operation for both product knowledge and service standards.
  • Deliver and respond to related assignments as directed by supervisor.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, Baking & Pastry Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of bakery product development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience as a Japanese Bakery Chef is preferred.
  • Strong hands-on baking skills across a range of product categories (bread, pastries, cakes, etc.).
  • Experience with scaling recipes for production.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality assurance standards (e.g., HACCP, GMPs).
  • Creative, innovative, and passionate about bakery trends and techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
