Role Summary:

Managing the product development process to deliver new product, improved existing product, cost reduction & improvement. And others up to policy each year of Group. Serving USA, EMEA, Canada market. Coaching and developing team to meet with company expectation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver projects successfully with the agreed upon metrics including cost, aesthetics, technical feasibility, commercial feasibility, and consumer acceptance with defined timeline.
  • Interpret product development briefs ensuring innovative and technologically competent solutions are in line with the project brief, customer expectations, operational constraints, and commercial needs. Follow the product development project through from concept to Co packer handover.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional team members in various departments including Marketing, Operations, Quality and Food Safety, Procurement, Co-Manufacturing, Consumer & Customer Insights, Regulatory, etc.
  • Manage, deliver and priority new product projects to hand-over stage and ensure their execution meets the time, quality, and cost requirements as per the NPD brief.
  • Drive and deliver key innovations and improvement projects across the product portfolio.
  • Communicate (written and oral) complex messages clearly and in a manner that is appropriate to the specific audience. Technical messaging will cover development status (both product and process), bringing technical leadership and transparency to departments outside of PD.
  • Communicate and manage all critical paths progress with the cross functional team ensuring regular progress updates. Alongside project stakeholders ensure issues are resolved at the front end of the process.
  • Interpret product development briefs ensuring innovative and technologically competent solutions are in line with the project brief, customer expectations, operational constraints, and commercial needs. Follow the product development project through from concept to NPI handover.
  • Guides, influences, and persuades internal members as well as external partners (e.g. consultants, vendors, research partners).
  • Facilitate team-Favor Sourcing team to evaluate new supplier in term of capability and capacity at factory site and document. Deliver against OGSM's and CCI as a high level of commercial awareness and ability in PD manager role. Conduct weekly project team meeting and product development progress as required.

Educational Requirements & Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science in Agro Industry.
  • At least 5-7 years experience in R&D Product Development of food products for worldwide market.
  • Experience in multi-national company is an advantage.
  • Experience of product development in food manufacturers and new product formulation experience.
