Lead merchandiser team for managing suppliers relationship and responsible for negotiating pricing, delivery and payment terms with suppliers, all of which affect the profit margin of the products and the individual store.
Setting competitive pricing points, and adjusting the pricing to increase sales and clear out stagnant items from inventory. Work closely with Merchandise Managers to expand successful product lines, implement successful exit strategies for unsuccessful unpopular merchandise and balanced with consumer demand.
Lead All-year promotion planning to promote potential items through Makro Mail and work with marketing team to develop new launch activity in stores to drive sales target.
Monitoring the performance of products, identify root causes of shortfall and plan actions to improve performance.
Developing and Sourcing new suppliers and analyze suppliers.
Conducting market research and analysis to identify products that can be developed and adopted as Products.
Managing inventory and for effectively planning and forecasting in order to maximize the profitability of the inventory flow.
Deliver financial results of specific products in charge, drive ongoing improvement in sales and profitability. Put Product group long-term and short-term strategy into Action plan and ensure of its execution
Source potential suppliers, assess their performance to ensure it reaches Makro requirement and market requirement – seasoning, events, etc
Work closely with Marketing team for the effective Makro mail program, promotion program, make sure the program drive sales targets/profit targets for group of product
Provide necessary product information and documents related (i.e. new product assortment, promotion program)/communicate to stores with speed, timely and clear instruction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required or related work
6-8+ experience with merchandising and supplier relationships.
