Summary

Heraeus, the technology group headquartered in Hanau, Germany, is a leading international family-owned portfolio company. Heraeus Electronics is seeking a dedicated Production Assistant Supervisor (Night Shift) to join our manufacturing team. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and efficiency standards while driving continuous improvement and on-time delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily production operations for flux, paste, and powder manufacturing to ensure compliance with approved formulations, specifications, and quality standards

  • Plan, assign, and manage manpower using structured allocation methods and visual planning tools authorize overtime as required to meet production targets

  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, R&D, EHS, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to support daily operations and long-term initiatives

  • Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, batch records, material traceability, contamination controls, and standardized 5S practices

  • Oversee proper handling, mixing, weighing, packaging, and storage of chemical and powdered raw materials in accordance with safety and quality requirements

  • Drive training, certification, and cross-training of production personnel on processes, equipment, and safety practices

  • Review and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and batch documentation to enhance safety, yield, and efficiency

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven tools such as RCA, Lean, 5S, and SPC

  • Ensure full compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, maintaining clean, safe, and organized work environments

  • Supervise production staff in line with company policies and employment regulations

  • Lead people management activities including hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and disciplinary actions

  • Address employee concerns and maintain a disciplined, safety-focused, and high-performance work culture

Your Profile

  • Diploma in Engineering, Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing machinery and production processes
  • Familiarity with SAP systems is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to apply sound judgment and problem-solving skills in daily operations
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Comfortable working in both office and production floor settings
  • Comfortable working in night shift (5 days work week)
