Our client is seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead their CNC/Lathing operation in Thailand. This role carries full responsibility across production, engineering, quality, materials and project delivery, overseeing all machinery, the team, and monthly output of approximately 6 million parts. The position requires a strong shopfloor leader who can balance operational discipline with continuous improvement, ensuring consistent performance across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People.
Responsibilities
- Own daily production operations, ensuring safety compliance and strong shopfloor discipline
- Drive quality performance through SPC, root cause analysis, audits, and scrap reduction
- Manage production planning, scheduling, and delivery against customer demand
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks to maintain stable production flow
- Control and optimise costs across labour, tooling, materials, and inventory
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (OEE, cycle time, Kaizen, SMED)
- Oversee engineering activities including process optimisation, tooling, and changeovers
- Ensure effective preventive and corrective maintenance to maximise uptime
- Build, develop and lead a high-performing production team
- Act as the key interface with HQ, suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in CNC or machining production, with leadership responsibility
- Strong technical understanding of production, quality systems, and cost drivers
- Hands-on leadership style with strong shopfloor presence
- Experience with ERP systems, planning, and production KPIs (OEE, Cp/Cpk)
- Decolletage experience is a plus
- Fluent in Thai and English; German or French is an advantage
