Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning and Coordination:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and deadlines.
- Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and quality control teams to ensure seamless production flow.
- Monitor and manage production progress, making adjustments as necessary to maintain output levels.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, motivate, and manage the production team, ensuring high levels of performance and morale.
- Provide training, mentorship, and support to production staff to enhance skills and productivity.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and support employee development.
Process Optimization and Improvement:
- Identify areas for process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain product quality.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques and best practices to optimize production processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to drive decision-making.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and company quality standards in all production processes.
- Oversee the inspection and testing of products to ensure they meet specifications and are free of defects.
- Address quality issues and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant environmental and industry regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety within the production team.
Inventory and Resource Management:
- Oversee inventory control and material management to ensure production materials are available without excess.
- Work with the supply chain team to manage resources effectively and minimize production downtime.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in a production management role within the automotive parts or metal manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of metalworking processes, including stamping, casting, welding, and machining.
- Good command in English (Chinese will be advantage)
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and quality standards within the automotive industry.
- Familiarity with automotive OEM and Tier 1 supplier standards.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 quality management systems.
