Key Responsibilities
- Lead coordination with Contract Manufacturing (CM) partners to ensure successful execution of New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and production readiness.
- Conduct Material Clear-to-Build (CTB) assessments to identify potential shortages and implement recovery actions to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Evaluate and process purchasing requirements, including purchase orders, engineering changes, and supplier quotations, while ensuring procurement data accuracy within ERP/business systems.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, and Quality teams to align material availability with manufacturing schedules and project timelines.
- Drive procurement planning and supplier management activities to achieve optimal cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Analyze commodity pricing, material consumption trends, and forecast volumes to support strategic sourcing and cost optimization initiatives.
- Monitor supplier performance related to lead time, delivery commitments, quality compliance, and subcontract execution.
- Support sourcing strategies through supplier benchmarking, alternative sourcing evaluations, and make-versus-buy assessments.
- Partner with suppliers and Quality Assurance teams to resolve material quality concerns and improve supply chain reliability.
- Contribute to commodity management initiatives, including market analysis, supplier development, pricing reviews, and product availability planning across regional or global supply networks.
- Maintain integrity of procurement master data, supplier databases, and material parameters to support efficient operational execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, planning, or operations management within manufacturing environments.
- At least 3 years of direct experience working with or supporting Contract Manufacturers (CMs), particularly within Program Management, Materials Planning, Purchasing, or Supply Chain functions.
- Strong background in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) or high-volume contract manufacturing operations in both local and international environments.
- Proven experience managing procurement and material planning activities for new projects, product transfers, or production ramp-ups.
- Solid understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP), ERP systems, and procurement execution processes throughout the product lifecycle.
- Demonstrated capability in coordinating suppliers to support production continuity and NPI milestone achievement.
- Knowledge of supply chain strategies related to inventory optimization, material flow, and multi-site manufacturing transfers.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and supplier management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced environments.
- Proficient communication skills in coordinating with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and global teams.
