Job Overview

The Project Director will be responsible for overseeing and directing large-scale construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. This role will require working with multiple stakeholders, managing multidisciplinary teams, and leading projects across different industries where Bureau Veritas provides services.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, strategic planning, and client management skills, as well as deep expertise in construction project management and technical service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects, from project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, to handover.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement at all levels.
  • Develop and implement project strategies, budgets, timelines, and risk management plans.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams of engineers, consultants, and inspectors to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Ensure projects comply with international standards, local regulations, and Bureau Veritas quality and safety frameworks.
  • Conduct regular reviews of project performance, cost control, and quality assurance.
  • Identify and resolve project issues and potential risks proactively.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to project managers and teams, ensuring capability development and high performance.
  • Support business development teams in proposals, tenders, and client presentations when required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role as Project Director / Senior Project Manager in construction or engineering projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex, multi-industry projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, engineering practices, contract management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong financial and budget management capabilities.
  • International project management exposure will be an advantage.
  • Fluent in English and Thai (both written and spoken).

Preferred Certifications

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or Prince2 Practitioner certification.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng), Professional Engineer (PE), or equivalent is a plus.
  • Training or certification in ISO standards, HSE Management, or Quality Management Systems is an advantage.
