On behalf of our client, a globally renowned Project Management Consultancy, we are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a large-scale new-build Data Centre project in Thailand.
In this role, you will hold full responsibility for the successful execution of the project from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. You will provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Acting as the primary client interface, you will drive performance across all workstreams while maintaining strict governance and commercial control on a complex, mission-critical development. The position requires exceptional leadership capability, strong commercial acumen, and proven experience delivering large-scale Data Centre or mission-critical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end delivery of a large new-build Data Centre project in Thailand.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and contractual obligations.
- Provide leadership and direction to project managers, engineers, consultants, and contractors across all phases of delivery.
- Drive programme, cost, quality, and risk management to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Oversee procurement strategy, contract administration, and commercial management.
- Ensure robust governance, reporting, and compliance with corporate and client standards.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing proactive solutions to maintain schedule and budget.
- Manage stakeholder engagement across local authorities, contractors, and senior client representatives.
- Lead commissioning, testing, and handover processes to ensure operational readiness.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years experience in large-scale construction project delivery, with significant experience in Data Centre or mission-critical environments.
- Proven track record of leading complex new-build projects valued at $200M+ USD.
- Strong commercial, contractual, and risk management expertise.
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with international clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to operate at executive level and manage high-pressure, fast-track project environments.
