This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects from concept development through commissioning and handover while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical and civil engineering projects throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate activities among engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, and contractors.
- Oversee installation, construction, testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and contractor deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Manage contractor performance and construction activities on-site.
- Prepare project reports, cost tracking, schedules, and progress updates.
- Support project handover and project closeout activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
- 3-10 years of experience in industrial project engineering, construction management, or facility engineering.
- Experience in manufacturing plants, industrial facilities, infrastructure, or utility projects.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial utilities, civil construction, and structural works.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP Certification.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- Construction Safety Certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera.
