Job Description

Job Summary

The Project Engineering Manager will lead the end-to-end execution of capital projects (CAPEX) across our manufacturing facilities. This role is responsible for driving technical innovation, optimizing production lines for high-speed environments, and ensuring that all engineering projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with global safety and quality standards (GMP/HACCP).

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Leadership & Strategy

  • CAPEX Management: Develop and manage the annual Capital Expenditure budget, ensuring maximum ROI on machinery and infrastructure investments.
  • Strategic Planning: Lead the design and implementation of new production lines, factory expansions, and automation upgrades to meet increasing market demand.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical liaison between Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, and Operations.
  • Project Management: Ensure the project timeline, deliver the project on time with zero accident.

2. Technical Execution & Innovation

  • Automation & Industry 4.0: Identify opportunities for robotics, IoT, and automated packaging solutions to reduce waste and increase OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
  • Vendor Management: Lead the selection, negotiation, and management of international OEMs and local contractors.

3. Compliance & Safety

  • EHS & Quality: Ensure all engineering activities adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety protocols and FMCG-specific quality standards (ISO, BRC, or SQF).
  • Sustainable Engineering: Drive Green Initiatives such as energy-efficient utility systems and water reduction technologies.

4. People Development

  • Culture of Excellence: Foster a continuous improvement mindset (TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma).

Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience: 8–12 years in Engineering roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity within the FMCG or Food & Beverage industry.
  • Technical Skills: * Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and SAP.
