OVERVIEW
The project manager leads new product developments projects, employing project management tools & methodologies in alignment with the Stage Gate process. He/she manages cross-functional teams through regular team meetings. He/she reports project health using agreed-upon metrics globally and presents project status updates to regional leadership and global leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project management:
- Develop and manage project timelines and schedules, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met
- Facilitate operational product development, and maintain and track the development process (Stage Gate Process)
- Drive deviation management for product management teams and following up on countermeasures defined in routine project review meetings
- Role of a facilitator and moderator in project review meetings
- Support project management activities alongside product lifecycle activities
- Take over project management role for specific strategic new product projects
Product master data:
- Regional contact for product-related material master data
- Coordination for product data within product information system (PIM)
- Close collaboration with Global function for product data
Processes:
- Support rollout of Global product lifecycle processes (based on Idea to Market Level 1 process) and stay aligned with Global functions
- Support setting up process tasks and responsibilities within the APAC region
ORGANIZATION & REPORTING
- Direct Reporting: Regional = APAC VP, Product Management
- Functional Reporting = Global, Head of Product Portfolio & Data
- Cross functional collaboration with technology, operations, finance and other functional teams
KPIs
- Time-to-market for new products
- Cost of Delay on product development projects
- New product rate & sales

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree above of science and engineering majors
- Project Management Certification/Programs
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- 6-8 years professional experience which includes min. 2 years of project management experience with reputable companies
- Candidates preferred from Electrical Industry
- Quick learner: willingness to learn LAPP cables and connectivity portfolio
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power BI and SAP.
- Familiar with project portfolio management tool (PPM)
- English proficiency, preferably with second language skills.
