Location: Bangkok, Thailand (Hybrid 13 days onsite per week; daily presence may be required during launch phase)

Overview
We are a global consulting firm partnering with Mastercard on a high-impact transformation initiative for a leading bank in Thailand. As part of this engagement, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive the end-to-end launch of a full-scale virtual bank targeted for early 2026.
The ideal candidate will bring PMO expertise, consulting experience, and strong knowledge of banking operations to ensure delivery readiness across business, technology, compliance, and customer-facing functions. This is a high-visibility role, requiring strong governance, risk management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for the full virtual bank launch, covering operations, product modules, regulatory readiness, and customer journeys.
- Drive PMO activities including governance, planning, reporting, and risk management across multiple workstreams.
- Coordinate with business, IT, operations, compliance, risk, and external vendors to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
- Anticipate risks, manage dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard launch timelines.
- Provide executive-level reporting to senior stakeholders and steering committee, escalating where required.
- Ensure operational readiness of core banking functions including account opening, KYC/AML, payments, and customer support processes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of consulting and project management experience (reputable consulting firm background highly preferred).
- Proven track record in banking transformation programs, ideally including virtual/digital bank launches or large-scale product rollouts.
- Strong hands-on PMO experience governance, reporting, delivery management.
- Solid understanding of bank operations (account opening, KYC/AML, credit/debit operations, payments, core banking processes).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Bangkok-based with flexibility to work onsite (hybrid).
- Note: PM certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Six Sigma, Lean) are not mandatory focus is on practical PMO + consulting + banking experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with multinational or regional financial institutions.
- Knowledge of Thailands regulatory frameworks for digital/virtual banking.
- Familiarity with digital banking platforms, core banking systems, and fintech ecosystem.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
