The Project Manager will lead end-to-end project coordination and local service delivery for data center power infrastructure projects. The role is responsible for planning, execution coordination, stakeholder management, site readiness, vendor coordination, HSE compliance, project reporting, and successful handover of data center power systems projects.
The role will work closely with internal solution teams, services teams, customers, EPCs, general contractors, commissioning agents, subcontractors, and approved service partners to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, execution coordination, site readiness tracking, project reporting and stakeholder communication.
- Manage project schedule, milestones, resource planning, risk register, issue log and escalation process.
- Coordinate with customers, EPCs, general contractors, consultants, commissioning agents, vendors and internal teams.
- Support delivery of data center power systems including UPS, LV/MV switchgear, power distribution units, battery systems, transformers, busway, containerized / modular power solutions and related electrical infrastructure.
- Coordinate site activities including installation support, testing support, commissioning support, handover and defect closure.
- Manage subcontractors / ASPs to ensure scope, quality, HSE, timeline and documentation requirements are met.
- Ensure all work is executed in line with local regulations, customer requirements, site HSE rules, method statements and permit-to-work processes.
- Track project cost, variations, claims, purchase orders, service reports and required documentation.
- Support warranty handover, after-sales transition and service readiness for preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Prepare regular project updates for country, regional and management review.
- Act as the main interface between local execution teams and Chinese stakeholders
Required Experience
- 8–12 years of project management experience in data center, critical power, electrical infrastructure, UPS, switchgear, power distribution or industrial electrical projects.
- Experience managing site works, commissioning coordination and subcontractor execution
- Experience working with EPCs, general contractors, consultants, customers and service vendors.
- Strong understanding of data center project delivery, HSE, method statements, permits, handover documentation and project governance.
- Experience in hyperscale or colocation data center projects is highly preferred.
- Experience working with regional or multinational teams is an advantage.
Technical Knowledge
- Data center electrical infrastructure.
- UPS systems, switchgear, transformers, power distribution, batteries and critical power systems.
- Testing, commissioning and handover processes.
- Site safety, electrical safety, LOTO, permit-to-work and risk assessment.
- Project management tools, reporting dashboards and documentation control
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
- PMP, Prince2 or equivalent project management certification preferred.
- Electrical safety or data center certification will be an advantage.
- Strong Mandarin & English communication skills.
- Mandarin Chinese is required for China customer interface - Past experience working in Mainland China is highly advantageous
- Ability to travel within Thailand and SEA is required
