As part of the APAC Public Affairs & Communications team, you will work closely with Thailand site leadership, regional stakeholders, and global colleagues to shape external engagement, build meaningful partnerships, and strengthen Novonesis reputation as a trusted biosolutions leader. This is a high-impact role that combines strategy, stakeholder engagement, communications, and business partnership in a dynamic environment.
The Role & Your Impact
As
Public Affairs & Communications Manager, Thailand, you will lead public affairs and communications activities that support business growth, policy engagement, stakeholder trust, and corporate reputation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement Thailand public affairs and communications strategies that support investment priorities, market access, license to operate, and reputation objectives.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with government agencies, embassies, industry associations, community organizations, and other external stakeholders.
- Monitor policy, regulatory, and socio-political developments, assess potential business impact, and provide strategic recommendations to local, regional, and global stakeholders.
- Lead external communications activities, including country and site narratives, media engagement, stakeholder messaging, and community communications.
- Partner closely with business leaders and functions including Production, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, P&O, and APAC leadership on stakeholder engagement, issues management, and crisis preparedness.
- Support senior leader positioning, executive communications, and strategic advocacy initiatives aligned with Novonesis regional and global priorities.
This is a senior individual contributor role with significant influence on stakeholder trust, policy positioning, reputation management, and business sustainability in Thailand.
What You'll Need To Be Successful
We are looking for a strategic and commercially minded public affairs professional who is passionate about building relationships and creating positive business outcomes.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, Communications, Journalism, Business, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Public Affairs, Government Affairs, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, or Stakeholder Engagement.
- Experience within biotechnology, food ingredients, manufacturing, chemicals, or other regulated industries is highly preferred.
- Strong ability to translate policy, regulatory, and societal developments into business implications and actionable engagement strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Thai and English.
- Strong executive briefing, writing, presentation, and messaging capabilities.

Additional Skills & Interests We Value
The following experiences would be considered advantageous:
- Experience working with or within government agencies, embassies, chambers of commerce, trade associations, NGOs, or policy organizations.
- Familiarity with Thailand's policy, regulatory, and stakeholder landscape.
- Experience supporting senior executives during public engagements, stakeholder meetings, or crisis situations.
- Knowledge of sustainability, biosolutions, biotechnology, food systems, or industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Strong cultural awareness and ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.

- Hybrid working model based in Bangkok or Rayong.
