Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain regular communication and relationships with government agencies, regulatory authorities and industry associations across Southeast Asia, including ministries of trade and commerce, customs, taxation authorities, consumer protection agencies, anti-monopoly commissions, labor departments, etc.
  • Track and analyze policy updates related to retail, e-commerce, import regulations and consumer protection in Southeast Asian markets, conduct timely impact assessments and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Support compliance processes for new market entry, store openings, product imports and the launch of new business models.
  • Participate in industry conferences, association activities and policy seminars; translate policy insights into business strategies and help mitigate compliance risks.
  • Assist in addressing policy-related emergencies and reputation-related crises.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field.
  • 15 years of professional experience in public policy, regulatory affairs or related areas.
  • Prior experience in multinational corporations, or work/study experience in China is a plus.
  • Familiar with the policy environment and government engagement practices in at least 23 major Southeast Asian countries.
  • Background in retail, FMCG, e-commerce or related industries is preferred.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in a Southeast Asian language (Thai, Indonesian, etc.) is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.
