Who are we

Mutant is a weird name for an agency, we know. Wed love to tell you theres a cool reason for it - like being exposed to gamma radiation or being bitten by a spider - but alas, our origin story is a little less dramatic.

We started in 2012 as a PR agency, led by one guy with a simple idea - to grow an agency that focused on getting business results and removing agency fluff.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Public Relations Manager, based in Bangkok, Thailand,who will be responsible for planning and executing client communications strategies, while coordinating with Mutant&aposs Social, Content and Brand arms for integrated campaigns.

Apart from contributing to the day-to-day client and project management, with a portfolio of consumer and corporate brands across the B2B and B2C technology space, youll take the lead in proactively managing Mutants top tech and corporate PR clients, proposing communications strategies while executing them flawlessly alongside the team. Youll also be responsible for growing and mentoring the team, being account leads with strong client counsel, and managing our accounts profitably, as well as assisting with business development proposals when required.

What you&aposll be getting up to:

• You can develop, lead, plan, implement, analyse, and optimise PR strategies and activities from formulation through to execution, ensuring alignment with the clients key business objectives
• Youll develop integrated communication strategies that are informed by strong insights, matter to the right audiences and sims to achieve clients&apos business objectives.
• Youll work closely with clients and Mutants Content & Communications teams to create aligned communications across all digital channels and to ensure both strong commercial and consistent brand messages
• Developing trackers, project management, staying abreast of the scope, profitability and team resourcing are parts of your strong suit
• You need to keep track and evaluate KPIs according to the scope and recommend necessary adjustments to optimise overall effectiveness based on measurements
• Youre to combine creativity with knowledge of the media to recognise media angles and generate positive news coverage, profile pieces and features across a broad media spectrum.
• Youll lead and execute business development from start to end (brief taking, delegation, ideation, strategy development, deck development, and presentation)
• Youre well versed in maintaining agreed-upon client activity and budgets and keep tabs on any overspending/underspending
• You have established professional relationships and/ or are willing to foster new relationships with clients, colleagues, and the media

What you need to be successful in this role:

• You have 4-7 years of experience in public relations in an agency environment.
• You bring along strong experience in Corporate and Tech PR (both B2B and B2C)
• You have a track record in ideating and driving PR strategies that drive clients business (e.g. whitepapers for lead-generation)
• You possess a vast knowledge of different client industries
• Youre no doubt a confident self-starter and able to drive conversations at the C-suite level
• You have great industry and general knowledge of the issues and opportunities in the communications industry
• You bring along your creativity and innovative ideas to the table
• You have an excellent command of the English language
• Youre meticulous and hyper efficient
• You have experience managing clients and mentoring team members, you have a nurturing management style that fosters growth and development
• You have a strong understanding of the local and regional media landscape
• You have existing relationships with journalists and key clients in Thailand
