We know Mutant is an odd name for an agency. While we'd love to give you a really cool reason for it like being exposed to gamma radiation or being bitten by a spider - our origin story is a little less dramatic.
In 2012, Mutant launched in Singapore as a PR agency with a vision for growth based on getting real business results for clients - without the agency fluff.
Since these humble beginnings, we've evolved into a regional agency with offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand & the Philippines - servicing clients across Asia Pacific and globally for their PR, content marketing, branding, and social media needs.

Are you the ONE we're looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Public Relations Manager / Senior Manager, who will be responsible for planning and executing client communications strategies, across Mutant's PR and Content teams.
Apart from contributing to the day-to-day client and project management, with a portfolio of consumer and corporate brands across the B2B and B2C space, you'll take the lead in proactively managing Mutant's top consumer and corporate PR clients, proposing communications strategies while executing them flawlessly alongside the team. You'll also be responsible for managing their accounts profitably, as well as assisting with business development proposals when required.
You are a confident individual with a great personality but are results and performance driven and able to thrive in a fast paced environment.
What you'll be getting up to:
- You can develop, lead, plan, implement, analyse, and optimise PR strategies and activities from formulation through to execution, ensuring alignment with the client's key business objectives
- You'll develop integrated communication strategies that are informed by strong insights, matter to the right audiences and sims to achieve clients business objectives.
- You'll work closely with clients and Mutant's Content & Communications teams to create aligned communications across all digital channels and to ensure both strong commercial and consistent brand messages
- Developing trackers, project management, staying abreast of the scope, profitability and team resourcing are parts of your strong suit
- You need to keep track and evaluate KPIs according to the scope and recommend necessary adjustments to optimise overall effectiveness based on measurements
- You're to combine creativity with knowledge of the media to recognise media angles and generate positive news coverage, profile pieces and features across a broad media spectrum. With this knowledge, you'll share and conduct internal training for our team to uplevel/upskill.
- You'll lead and execute business development from start to end (brief taking, delegation, ideation, strategy development, deck development, and presentation)
- You're well versed in maintaining agreed-upon client activity and budgets and keep tabs on any overspending/underspending
- You have established professional relationships and/ or are willing to foster new relationships with clients, colleagues, and the media
What you need to be successful in this role:
- You have 5-9 years of experience in public relations in an agency environment.
- You have a track record in managing PR strategies that drive clients business
- You possess a vast knowledge of different client industries
- You're no doubt a confident self-starter and able to drive conversations at the C-suite level
- You have great industry and general knowledge of the issues and opportunities in the communications industry
- You bring along your creativity and innovative ideas to the table
- You have an excellent command of the English language and Thai
- You're meticulous and hyper efficient
- You have experience managing clients and mentoring team members, you have a nurturing management style that fosters growth and development
- You have a strong understanding of the local and regional media landscape
- You have existing relationships with journalists and key clients in Asia
