Public Relations & Market Communications Manager

Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River is looking for a Public Relations & Marketing Communications Manager.

Candidates with a passion for excellence, great analytical skills and proven Public Relations experience with strong media relationships are invited to apply.

Responsibilities

The Public Relations & Marketing Communications Manager works across the different disciplines and is responsible for supporting the Director of Public Relations and Communications to:

  • Execute an annual Public Relations and Communications campaign and work within set budgets.
  • Manage the digital strategy of the Hotel with a proactive and creative approach to all digital and electronic marketing platforms.
  • To protect the luxury image and superior reputation of the Hotel in all promotional activities.
  • To ensure that any promotion of the Hotel is consistent with the image and standing of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

Digital Marketing

  • Implement innovative programs and campaigns that increase awareness of the hotel, its offerings and craftspeople. Ensure such programs align with Brand DNA standards as well as active marketing plans and budgets, while refining programs to capitalize on unexpected opportunities or influences as they arise.
  • Actively co-manage Hotel website and pressroom, ensuring alignment with the hotel’s positioning and business objectives and creative storytelling.
  • Ensure up-to-date information on partner and third-party websites.
  • Support additional digital marketing activities as needed such as PPC and display advertising to ensure messaging and creative is aligned across all activities.
  • Plays a key role in reputation management, keeping track of public attitudes and organizing responses across hotel and restaurant related platforms.
  • Track ROI and craft monthly results of digital marketing efforts.

Public Relations

  • Maintain on-going liaison, support and follow-up with key press local contacts of the Hotel.
  • Support hosting and entertainment of local/ international media on property.
  • Establish him/herself as a trusted and reliable contact for members of the press and hotel teams.
  • Create innovative publicity programs that will increase awareness and positive perception of the hotel, its spa, culinary programs, services, and personnel.
  • To promote facilities and services of the Hotel, newsworthy events, special promotions and create appropriate story-angles to maintain a continuous and consistent profile in the press.
  • To seek a variety of opportunities for press exposure in consumer, trade and other specialist media (e.g. competitions, readership offers/events, photo opportunities).
  • To co-ordinate details of all press visits to the Hotel. Co-ordinate organizational details within the Hotel for in-coming press visits and groups from overseas.
  • To track and assess results of press visits to the hotel and coverage achieved.
  • Maintain database of press contacts.
  • To assess requests for third party photo ie media shoots and filming projects at the Hotel, alongside the Hotel’s Public Relations/Sales and Marketing goals.
  • Oversee any such shoots and filming, once agreed.
  • To monitor, catalogue and distribute press cuttings on Hotel to Planning Committee and Area Public Relations if necessary.
  • Engage in development of ideas for events, promotions and special offers that will attract key audiences into the Hotel and provide the press with topical story angles.
  • Support opportunities for joint-promotions and events as needed.
  • Draft press releases and story starters about hotel news in English and Thai. Supporting the hotel with translation of written materials into Thai.

Promotional collateral

  • Support Director of Public Relations and Communications in development and production of brochures, fliers, newsletters and all other promotional collateral.
  • Monitor high quality and consistent use of Hotel language and descriptive text in written material.
  • Ensure that standards set in Four Seasons guidelines in photography, filming, tone of voice are met.
  • Support and coordinate photo shoots and filming projects commissioned by the Hotel.
  • Manage Hotel’s image library and release forms.
  • Keep up-to-date on printing and electronic techniques that needs to be employed for production and distribution of quality promotional collateral, liaising with graphics agencies as needed on behalf of Director of Public Relations and Communications.

What You Will Bring

Candidates must have a firm knowledge of Public Relations and preferably hotel operations.

Candidates must speak read and write Thai as well as being fluent in English.

Must have the right to work in Thailand.

Candidates with a passion for excellence and a guest centric mindset.

Candidates must have a firm knowledge of the area and be extremely organized and be able to multitask.

The ability to maintain a clean, neat and organized work area.

The ability to work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
