Job Summary

You will lead stakeholder engagement and communication efforts for a major cable transmission infrastructure project, managing permits, public feedback, and coordination with authorities to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between the project team, government agencies, and the public to facilitate effective communication and collaboration
• Manage permits, approvals, and coordinate with relevant authorities such as LTA, PUB, and SP Group to ensure project compliance
• Handle public feedback, complaints, and enquiries related to construction activities to maintain positive community relations
• Coordinate traffic diversions, road closures, and public notifications to minimise disruption and ensure public safety
• Prepare and distribute public notices, letters, and communication materials to inform stakeholders and the public
• Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, businesses, and other stakeholders to support project objectives
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and project conditions through diligent monitoring and reporting
• Support crisis communication and issue management to address urgent matters effectively and maintain project reputation
• Maintain accurate records of stakeholder engagement and communication activities for transparency and accountability

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field
• 3-6 years of experience in public relations, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with local authorities and regulatory processes in Singapore
• Proficient in MS Office applications

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills demonstrated by managing public feedback and stakeholder relationships
• Ability to handle difficult situations and resolve conflicts professionally in a construction project context
• Good organisational and coordination skills applied to managing permits, traffic diversions, and communication materials
