A well-established industrial organization is strengthening its Engineering & Supply Chain leadership to ensure procurement decisions directly support cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and scalable growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategy aligned with engineering, manufacturing, and business priorities
- Lead sourcing and supplier strategy across direct materials and indirect spend (MRO, services, CAPEX)
- Improve cost structure through should-cost analysis, specification optimization, and supplier collaboration
- Manage supply risk, capacity constraints, and material availability in a volatile commodity environment
- Partner with Engineering and Operations on material selection, process improvement, and productivity initiatives
- Establish supplier governance, performance metrics, and negotiation frameworks
- Support strategic decisions on make/buy, localization, and scale-up initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 1015+ years of procurement or supply chain experience in packaging, commodity, or process manufacturing
- Proven leadership across direct and indirect materials with strong manufacturing and engineering exposure
- Strong commercial judgment balancing cost, quality, risk, and supply continuity
- Experience influencing cross-functional and senior stakeholders
- Comfortable operating in complex, fast-changing environments
- Strategic yet hands-on leader, able to translate executive direction into operational impact
