Job Description

Opening in late 2026, Hotel Indigo Bangkok Thonglor will be a 250-room lifestyle hotel located in one of Thailand's most sought-after districts. Positioned along vibrant Sukhumvit Road with direct access to Thonglor BTS station, the hotel will sit in the heart of Thonglor a dynamic neighbourhood renowned for its energy, creativity, and sophisticated mix of dining, nightlife, and retail.

Just 25 kilometres from Suvarnabhumi International Airport, the hotel will feature an all-day-dining Neighbourhood caf, renowned across the Hotel Indigo brand, a destination rooftop bar, a swimming pool, and fitness centre. As part of IHG's expanding Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio in Thailand, this exciting new opening represents a unique opportunity to be part of a flagship project from day one.

We are on the lookout for a Purchasing Manager, to shape our systems, drive efficiencies and set the foundation for a smooth and successful hotel launch. This role will be critical to our pre-opening team and ongoing operation, from establishing supplier partnerships and negotiating commercial agreements to implementing robust inventory and cost control processes, building the procurement framework that underpins operational excellence.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but as part of the pre-opening team, you will play a key role in:

  • Lead all pre-opening and operational procurement activities in line with brand standards and company policies.
  • Source, evaluate and appoint suppliers through a transparent tender process, securing competitive pricing, quality and compliance.
  • Negotiate contracts and establish standing orders to optimise cost efficiencies and ensure reliable supply.
  • Oversee all purchase orders, ensuring timely issuance, delivery tracking and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier documentation, quotations and pricing records in line with audit requirements.
  • Manage inventory controls including Min/Max levels, stock rotation, slow-moving and obsolete items.
  • Oversee storeroom operations ensuring strict physical stock control, authorised issuance and security procedures.
  • Monitor supplier performance including hygiene, HACCP and brand compliance standards.
  • Partner with Finance and operational departments to support cost control, budgeting and a successful hotel opening and ensure full compliance with legal, financial and brand requirements.

What We Need From You

  • Ability to work autonomously and manage workload and key deliverables within a project opening timeline.
  • High level communication and relationship management skills, collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of procurement and purchasing management practices and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid knowledge of sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management
  • Excellent organisation, documentation and attention to detail.
  • Extensive experience within a similar operation and (ideally) prior involvement in a pre-opening.
  • Clear understanding of ethical, legal, and safety compliance requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field (preferred) or relevant experience.
  • Fluent in English with a professional, responsible, and hands-on approach to work
