Discovering the role
The primary responsibility of this role is the installation, testing, commissioning, and system programming of security equipment in adherence to Convergint's standards. The objective is to maintain excellent engineering project quality while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Main Objectives:
- Ensure all engineering, commissioning, and service deliverables comply with Convergint quality standards, policies, and commissioning best practices.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance and quality control processes across project lifecycle, from design through commissioning and handover.
- Monitor and evaluate system performance, ensuring compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and Convergint commissioning standards.
- Support continuous improvement of QA/QC processes, technical standards, and documentation within Convergint.
- Promote a culture of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction across all project activities.
Main performance indicators:
- Compliance with Convergint quality and commissioning standards.
- Number of projects audited and quality checked.
- Reduction of defects, rework, and non-conformance issues.
- Timeliness and accuracy of QA/QC documentation and reporting.
- Customer satisfaction and project acceptance (SAT/FAT results).
- Training hours and continuous professional development.
Major responsibilities include:
- Ensure all project deliverables meet Convergint standards, policies, and QA/QC requirements.
- Review and validate Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) results against specifications.
- Ensure all equipment setup, wiring, and system configurations comply with product manuals and Convergint commissioning standards.
- Develop and implement QA/QC plans, inspection checklists, and testing procedures aligned with Convergint commissioning standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Coordinate with project teams, engineers, subcontractors, and clients on quality-related matters.
- Maintain and control QA/QC documentation, reports, and records in accordance with company standards.
- Support client inspections, audits, and handover processes to ensure successful project acceptance.
- Monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure compliance with Convergint standards and policies.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on QA/QC processes and quality standards.
- Participate in internal training programs and continuously improve technical and quality assurance capabilities.
Requirements
- Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Electrical, or and Telcomunication Engineering.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in QA/QC Engineer, Test & Commission Engineer, Installation engineer preferably in a multinational environment.
- Possess basic IT knowledge in security hardware, network, and database.
- Experience with security access control systems, CCTV, and alarm system products/systems is advantageous.
- Previous exposure to Lenel, Genetec, Gallagher, Axis systems is a clear advantage.
- Display a quick learning ability and a strong focus on client service.
- Demonstrate good English communication and coordination skills.
