Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Automation Test Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust automated testing frameworks to ensure the highest quality of our software products.
You will work closely with developers, product managers, and manual QA engineers to integrate automated testing into our CI/CD pipeline, catching bugs early and shifting quality to the left. If you love breaking code to make it better and thrive in an agile environment, we'd love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Framework Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test suites for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Test Strategy: Analyze product requirements and technical design documents to create comprehensive test plans and automation strategies.
- CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into the build and deployment pipelines (CI/CD) to ensure continuous quality feedback.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using tools like Jira. Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Performance & API Testing: Conduct API testing and basic performance/load testing to ensure system stability.
- Mentorship & Collaboration: Participate in code reviews for automation scripts and advocate for QA best practices across the development team.
Technical Requirements
Must-Haves (Required):
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a heavy focus on automation.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in at least one object-oriented language, such as [Java / Python / JavaScript / C#].
- Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with automation frameworks like [Selenium / Cypress / Playwright / Appium].
- API Testing: Strong experience testing RESTful APIs using tools like [Postman / RestAssured / SoapUI].
- CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as [Jenkins / GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / CircleCI].
- Version Control: Proficient with Git and standard branching workflows.
- Databases: Solid understanding of SQL and database querying for data verification.
Nice-to-Haves (Preferred):
- Experience with cloud platforms like [GCP / AWS / Azure].
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or K6.
- A background in security testing.
