Location: Bank of Ayudhaya (Krungsri) - Rama 3 Head Office

Team Size Responsibility: 1540 QA Engineers (Functional QA, SDET, Performance QA depending on team structure)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and influential QA Manager to lead QA delivery across multiple squads within a digital banking environment. This role requires strong leadership, deep testing expertise, and the ability to implement quality practices across complex, integrated systems (mobile, web, mini apps, backend services).

The QA Manager will oversee test planning, execution, people development, and cross-team alignment with Product, Development, Architecture, DevOps, and external vendors. This includes standardizing QA processes, improving quality maturity, embedding automation, monitoring quality KPIs, and proactively removing obstacles to ensure predictable, high-confidence releases.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure QA standards and test processes are consistently applied across assigned squads.
  • Support adoption of automation practices (mobile, web, API) in collaboration with SDET teams to reduce regression time and increase confidence.
  • Monitor quality KPIs such as defect leakage, DRE, regression pass rate, stability, test coverage, and release readiness.
  • Identify recurring quality issues and drive improvements within assigned scope
  • Oversee test planning, test design quality, scenario completeness, and execution for all supported squads.
  • Ensure environments, data, and integrations are ready, coordinate with DevOps, Infra, and backend service owners.
  • Support risk assessment, release readiness reviews, and production validation strategies (e.g., PVT, pre-validation).
  • Ensure root-cause insights from defects are used to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead and mentor QA Leads, Senior QAs, and Engineers within assigned squads.
  • Set clear goals, performance expectations, and growth plans for the QA team.
  • Build a high-performing team with a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage resource allocation across squads; plan hiring, onboarding, and skill development.
  • Provide constructive feedback and career coaching, fostering a healthy team dynamic and strong collaboration.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Delivery Leads, Architects, Developers, and DevOps to align on scope, impacts, risks, and timelines.
  • Represent QA in prioritization discussions, release planning, and incident reviews.
  • Communicate quality status, test milestones, and risks clearly to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in software testing and QA, with at least 1+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong background in functional testing across mobile, web, API, and integrated systems.
  • Experience leading QA in Agile/Scrum environments across multiple squads.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release practices.
  • Familiarity with automation frameworks (Appium, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) and API automation.
  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Ability to interpret logs, API responses, and database queries for debugging and root-cause validation.
  • Awareness of performance testing concepts and quality metrics.
