Job Overview
The QC Test Engineer will report directly to the Quality Manager and be responsible for monitoring and implementing quality activities within both engineering and operations.
This role will focus primarily on Testing, Calibration, Machine Set up and Machine out-going buyoff, contributing improvement of Machine Reliability and Quality
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring Machine and Parts Quality Standards are met and maintained across engineering, manufacturing and end user.
Main Responsibilities
Quality Control Oversight:
- Manage and Maintain Quality of control boards and functional testing.
- In-charge in Bond Head Quality Testing
- Maintain and Update Test Specifications to meet Quality standards
- Manage RMA on control boards, BH, PCBA, Electronic Parts and motors
- Perform Machine buyoff, Test Calibration, Set up and ESD Testing
- Temperature Control tuning, heater validation and qualification
- Support/Qualify R&D New transfer of new design machine, new parts and new features to manufacturing implementation.
- Generate/update Test procedures, Work instruction and QC Checklists.
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement:
- Analyse test data to identify trends for machine improvements.
- Analyse Machine or parts performance data based from Field feedback or RMA
- Drive continuous improvement efforts in the quality management system.
Non-Conformance
- Issue RMA on parts reported issue
- Responsible in RMA Monitoring
- Perform Failure Analysis
- Collaborate with other departments for corrective actions on quality issues.
QC Reporting:
- Conduct internal and external audit
- Prepare Machine Factory Report and ESD Result.
- Ensure reports are accurate and timely for internal and customer purposes.
- 8D Reporting
- Failure Analysis Report
- Evaluation Report
Work Methods Review:
- Regularly review work methods and test plans for continuous improvement.
- Identify optimization opportunities during machine assembly, in-processes or out-going buy-off.
- Review and improve procedures, buyoff specs and checklist.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Diploma in engineering major in Electronics or Electrical or Mechatronics
- Certified ISO Internal Auditor
- Knowledge in control system, computer hardware and logics gates.
- Good understanding of semiconductor testing methodologies, including ESD theory and validation process
- Experienced in ESD Test Equipment, Digital Tester, Oscilloscope and controls
- With strong background in semiconductor machines, die bonder experienced is advantage
