Job Overview

We are looking for an individual that is excels in identifying and solving problems to join our team in Thailand as a Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer represents the voice of our customers by ensuring that products meet our requirements and standards. The Quality Engineer will work with the inspection team to inspect our products and accept or reject them. When non-conforming products are found, the Quality Engineer will support our suppliers to identify root causes, facilitate corrective action, and solve the issue. We are looking for someone who can thrive in a small company environment that values efficiency and detailed work.

Essential Functions

This job will be expected to complete the following functions. This is not an all-inclusive list. This job may be assigned other functions or tasks. This is meant to be a general description of the most essential functions only.

  • Complete product inspection and determine whether the product meets drawing requirements utilizing inspection and measurement equipment (e.g., digital calipers, durometer gauge)
  • Coordinate with internal teams locally and globally when quality issues arise.
  • Issue and manage Vendor Alerts (VA) and Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR) to suppliers, identify immediate containment actions, and follow up until closure
  • Communicate directly and assist suppliers with nonconformances, determining root cause of quality issues, providing guidance for corrective and preventative actions (CAPA), and general quality inquiries
  • Review supplier inspection reports to verify data accuracy, conformance and completion
  • Create and update quality inspection files based on new or revised drawings
  • Maintain good relationships with our suppliers and partners
  • Drive continuous improvement through quality system updates
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred: Material, Mechanical Chemical, Automotive and Industrial) required
  • 2 years+ of related experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Management or Manufacturing (Rubber or plastic or any polymer industry preferred)
  • Knowledge in quality control or manufacturing preferred
  • Intermediate-to-upper English skills (listening, speaking, writing, and reading)
  • Able to commute and drive long distance (up to 3 hours) comfortably to ensure close communication and on-site support with our suppliers up to once a week
  • Able to attend nighttime meeting with Ebco USA due to time zone difference on average 1 hour a week unless critical quality issues arise
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Detail-oriented, with ability to complete tasks accurately and consistently
  • Ability to read the blueprints and 3D Models required
  • Inspection knowledge (e.g. use of digital caliper, durometer gauge)
  • Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action (RCA & CAPA)
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 is preferred
  • Able to attend nighttime meeting with Ebco USA due to time zone difference on average 3 hours a week unless critical quality issues arise
