Qnity - Electronics
This role is responsible for leading and executing the business quality programs as defined in ACP Business Quality Strategy to enable our contractor manufacturer to profitably meet customers related to the quality management system. The Quality Engineer is also responsible for enhancing the front-line knowledge and accountability for quality as well as promoting a customer-focused culture within contractor manufacturers/assets outside of Qnity network.
Work Location: Toller at Chachoengsao, APEX Green Industrial Estate
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain the business quality programs which align to the ACP Business Quality Strategy at the contractor manufacturers site.
- Provide an effective interface between customers and the contractor manufacturer to ensure consistent quality service to customers.
- Represent the Voice of Customer / Customer Quality Champion at the plant.
- Provide technical and business assessments and recommendations to internal steering team for customers commercial product special requests.
- Act as Qnity quality focal point to build or enhance relationships, services and flow of information between the contractor manufacturer and Qnity organization related to the product quality / regulatory requirements related to the quality management system.
- Ensure that product returns and non-conforming products are appropriately managed to prevent unintended use, including disposition.
- Monitor the effectiveness of the quality management system and communication to leadership improvement opportunities. For example, raw material quality and supplier assessments, etc.
- Generate and use quality data (customer complaints, plant metrics etc.) to enable cross functional partners to drive product quality improvements.
- Lead and participate in management of change reviews that potentially impact product quality (e.g., specification, train qualifications, plant equipment / systems, analytical testing, etc.).
- Provide consultation on applicable material handling guidelines and quality requirements for Contract Manufacturing Operations Plan.
- Train and provide guidance to contractor manufacturer and other roles that impact product quality (e.g., lab, maintenance, logistics, etc.) on customer and product regulatory requirements to achieve business goals.
- Identify and lead improvement opportunities as determined through data analysis, customer audits, and other quality-related programs.
- Host customer and other quality related external party visits and audits, in cooperation with Commercial and other functions.
- Lead / champion product quality problem solving efforts (i.e., Corrective Action Management Process, the Root Cause Investigation Process, including customer feedback, etc.) and communicate updates to customers and manage expectations effectively
- Conduct audits of contract manufacturers and suppliers, etc. to ensure customer needs are met. Leverage findings to drive continuous improvement.
- Lead or participate in the review of contract manufacturers and cross functional projects having a potential impact on product quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Quality Management discipline, Chemical Engineering, or related field OR at least 5 years engineering experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong skills in data analysis and technical reporting.
- Proficiency in quality management tools & skills such as 8 Disciplines (8D), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Chart etc.
- Effective communication skills with global cross-functional teams including contract manufacturing sites
- Fluent in English and Thailand communication.
- Mandarin speaking ability is highly preferred.
- Understanding ISO 9001 and having SAP operation experience is a preference as well.
