Company Description

ANCA Manufacturing Solutions (AMS) is part of the ANCA Group, an Australian-founded global leader in advanced manufacturing technology since 1974 with more than 1,000 employees worldwide.

AMS Thailand, based in Pluak Daeng, Rayong, has been delivering world-class manufacturing for over 20 years. We provide a complete service — from product design through fabrication, machining, coating and assembly — to customers in industries including machine tools, off-road vehicles, food processing, consumer electronics, construction machinery, aerospace and automotive.

Role Description

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products, processes, and systems at AMS Thailand meet defined requirements through strong technical leadership, accurate measurement systems, and disciplined execution.

This is a hands-on, engineering-focused role requiring deep understanding of manufacturing processes, GD&T, and inspection systems. The Quality Manager ensures quality is built into processes rather than inspected at the end, and that all issues are identified, understood, and permanently resolved. The role also owns ISO 9001 compliance and maintains a practical, effective Quality Management System (QMS) that supports operational performance.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulatory compliance frameworks
  • Experience with process audits, quality inspections, and root cause analysis
  • Ability to develop and implement quality improvement strategies and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent English communication and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of statistical quality control tools and methodologies
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or a related industry is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; certifications in quality-related areas (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards) are a plus

Key Responsibility

A. Technical Quality Leadership

• Own the interpretation and application of engineering drawings and specifications.

• Apply and enforce GD&T standards across all products.

• Define critical characteristics and appropriate inspection methods.

• Ensure all requirements are clear, measurable, and achievable.

B. Design & Specification Review

• Review drawings and specifications before release to production.

• Identify risks related to tolerances, manufacturability, and measurability.

• Ensure requirements are technically sound and can be validated.

C. Inspection & Measurement Systems

• Develop and manage advanced inspection capabilities including 3D scanning, CMM, precision measurement equipment, and digital inspection and reporting systems.

• Improve inspection speed and throughput without compromising accuracy.

• Standardise inspection methods across all products.

• Ensure measurement systems are stable, repeatable, and reliable.

D. Measurement System Analysis (MSA)

• Implement MSA practices including Gauge R&R studies and measurement variation analysis.

• Ensure confidence in all inspection data used for decisions.

• Maintain calibration systems aligned to risk and usage.

E. Process & Workflow Optimisation

• Review all quality processes, procedures, and workflows to identify inefficiencies, delays, and duplication.

• Reduce inspection cycle time, improve flow and response time, and increase data accuracy and usability.

• Simplify and standardise processes where possible.

F. Problem Solving & Corrective Actions

• Lead structured problem solving using 8D methodology and root cause analysis tools.

• Ensure all issues have a defined root cause and a verified corrective action.

• Eliminate repeat issues through system improvements and enforce closure discipline across all open issues.

G. Supplier Quality Management

• Take full ownership of supplier quality performance.

• Establish and maintain incoming inspection standards, supplier audits and development programs, and supplier corrective action processes.

• Reduce supplier-related defects and variability.

H. Quality Assurance & Control Strategy

• Define and maintain inspection strategy across incoming, in-process, and final inspection.

• Shift focus toward early detection and prevention; reduce reliance on final inspection.

I. Statistical Process Control (SPC)

• Implement and manage SPC systems and software.

• Monitor process stability and variation.

• Use SPC data to prevent defects and improve process capability.

J. ISO 9001 & Compliance

• Maintain and manage the Quality Management System.

• Ensure successful completion of annual ISO 9001 audits.

• Ensure procedures are accurate, practical, and followed in operation, with documentation aligned to actual working processes.

K. Continuous Improvement

• Drive measurable improvement in quality performance, inspection efficiency, and process capability.

• Apply structured, data-driven improvement methods.

L. Data-Driven Decision Making

• Establish and maintain Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) tracking — including scrap, rework, and internal and external failures.

• Use data to prioritise improvement actions and ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and actionable.

M. People Management

• Lead and develop a technically strong quality team.

• Train the team in GD&T, inspection methods, and root cause analysis.

• Build capability beyond basic inspection toward technical analysis.

• Set clear expectations on accuracy, accountability, and performance.
