The QS Manager is responsible for overseeing all cost, contract, procurement, and commercial aspects of renovation and construction projects. The role ensures effective budget management, cost control, procurement strategy, contract administration, and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle, helping to deliver projects on time and within budget.
As a Quantity Surveying Manager, We Rely on You To
- Lead all quantity surveying, cost management, procurement, and contract administration activities
- Develop and manage project budgets, cost plans, and cashflow forecasts
- Conduct value engineering exercises and assess the financial impact of design changes
- Develop procurement strategies, prepare tender documentation, evaluate bids, and provide award recommendations
- Advise on contract structures, negotiation strategies, and contract administration matters
- Review and certify progress claims, assess variations, and monitor project costs against budget
- Manage contractor and supplier claims, delays, and commercial disputes
- Lead final account negotiations, cost reconciliation, project close-out, and cost benchmarking activities
- Maintain asset registers and provide commercial reporting to project stakeholders
We Are Looking for Someone With
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 8–12 years of experience managing cost and commercial functions on large-scale renovation, fit-out, or construction projects, preferably within hospitality or high-end commercial developments
- Experience in client-side, consultancy, or project management environments is highly desirable
- Good understanding of local construction practices, procurement processes, commercial management, and labor market dynamics
- Proven expertise in cost planning, contract management, variation assessment, claims handling, and procurement
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD for reviewing drawings and measurement-related assessments
