The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead with 10+ years of software development experience to lead the technical design and development of our comprehensive Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) platform. This role requires a strong full-stack developer with expertise in enterprise application architecture, database design, and team leadership.

The ideal candidate has10+years of full-stack software development experience and is comfortable working across frontend interfaces, backend services, APIs, business logic, SQL Server databases, automated testing, code reviews, and production issue resolution.Also, have 4+ years of experience in leading and guiding people with relevant directions.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Design, develop, and enhance features for enterprise business applications.

  • 2+ years leading/mentoring development teams

  • Build clean, maintainable, and efficient code following established engineering standards.

  • Develop and support frontend interfaces, backend services, APIs, and database components.

  • Work with Microsoft SQL Server to ensure data integrity, reliable access, and performance.

  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and continuous improvement activities.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and product stakeholders to deliver reliable features.

  • Analyze and resolve issues across environments, including production support when required.

  • Contribute to documentation, knowledge sharing, and compliance with applicable internal and external procedures.

  • Demonstrate Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions while caring for colleagues and the business.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent, with10+years of relevant software development experienceand minimum 2+ years of leading team.

  • Hands-on experience with C#, .NET, PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React.

  • Experience developing RESTful APIs, web services, third-party integrations, and business logic for enterprise applications.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including queries, joins, indexing, performance considerations, and data integrity.

  • Understanding of object-oriented programming, design principles, application architecture, and structured workflows.

  • Mandatory experience with Git-based version control and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Exposure to unit testing frameworks such asxUnitorPHPUnit.

  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and ownership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

  • Experience with Azure services such as App Services, Key Vault, Virtual Machines, Load Balancer, Azure SQL, or Azure SQL Managed Instance.

  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Grafana, or Prometheus.

  • Knowledge of advanced T-SQL, CDC, query optimization, and performance tuning.

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, custom agents, or AI-enabled engineering practices.

  • Domain knowledge in Energy Trade and Risk Management is an advantage.
