Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Reconciliation Officer to support the Finance and Treasury functions by ensuring accurate reconciliation of transactions, monitoring liquidity positions, and assisting with safeguarding processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, identifying discrepancies, and supporting regulatory and operational requirements. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily reconciliations of bank accounts, payment service providers, customer funds, and internal systems. And prepare daily safeguarding calculations and reports.
  • Investigate, track, and resolve reconciliation breaks and outstanding items in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and reconcile safeguarding accounts to ensure customer funds are appropriately segregated and protected.
  • Monitor daily cash balances and assist with liquidity reporting.
  • Support cash positioning activities and identify potential funding shortfalls or excess balances.
  • Identify, escalate, and follow up on reconciliation, liquidity, and safeguarding exceptions.
  • Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Liaise with banks, payment providers, Operations, Finance, and stakeholder teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of reconciliation, safeguarding, and liquidity processes and controls.
  • Support regulatory reporting, audits, and compliance reviews.


 

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in Reconciliation, Finance Operations, Treasury Operations, Banking, or a similar role.
  • Good understanding of reconciliation processes, cash management, and financial transaction flows.
  • Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
  • Good command of written and spoken English,
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.



Preferred

  • Exposure to safeguarding, client money, liquidity monitoring, or segregated account reconciliations.
  • Experience with reconciliation functions or payment platforms.
