Role Overview
The Regional Accountant plays a key role in supporting the Finance Manager by managing end-to-end accounting operations across assigned countries. This position ensures accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and timely month-end close, while supporting budgeting, audits, and internal controls. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
- Manage full spectrum of end to end accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed assets
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and intercompany transactions
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly financial reports and reconciliations in accordance with local GAAP and group policies
- Support statutory filings, tax submissions, and external audits
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of various budgets and rolling forecasts
- Monitor actuals vs budget, investigate variances, and provide commentary
Process Improvement & Systems
- Support implementation and enhancement of financial systems and processes
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve reporting accuracy
Business Support
- Collaborate with HR, Operations, and other departments to ensure accurate cost allocation and financial alignment.
- Support office administration and finance operations across all countries, including local HR matters in Thailand.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making and regional initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is an advantage
- Minimum 35 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a regional or multi-entity setup
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and statutory compliance in [insert relevant countries]
- Proficient in Excel and accounting systems (Business Central experience will be advantageous)
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across cultures and time zones
