Job Summary

Lead regional product performance by guiding country product heads to achieve sales growth, profitability, and operational excellence in line with corporate strategy. Drive business planning, sales, marketing, procurement, and cross-functional coordination across Southeast and South Asia.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional business plans and strategies to achieve sales growth and profit objectives with efficient cost management
  • Set clear regional product targets and guide country product heads to optimize product performance and productivity
  • Lead sales, marketing, and account management activities to foster a collaborative, team-based culture aligned with corporate goals
  • Monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual regional performance against KPIs and initiate corrective actions to improve results
  • Conduct market studies to analyze conditions and adjust sales strategies accordingly
  • Lead in-country project solutions including supply chain data gathering, analysis, process optimization, reengineering, and costing
  • Manage regional procurement activities to maximize profitability and support country-level procurement and RFQ processes
  • Coordinate with carriers regional offices for contract negotiations and regional agreements as needed
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, risk management, and use of management tools such as CRM
  • Organize and facilitate communication and alignment among regional sales marketing members, country product heads, and corporate leadership
  • Compile, review, and analyze business performance reports to support decision-making and strategic planning
  • Support new service development, business campaigns, pipeline activities, and ad hoc projects
  • Establish and enhance relationships with other regions, offices, group companies, and strategic partners
  • Participate in management projects such as mergers and acquisitions and new ventures as required

Required competencies and certifications

  • University degree or professional qualification in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years experience in major freight forwarding or shipping-related multinational companies
  • At least 3 years in management roles with profit and loss responsibility
  • Proficient knowledge of Southeast Asia and South Asia freight markets (preferred but valuable for operational expertise)
  • Strong analytical skills demonstrated through new business development and performance analysis
  • Proven leadership skills to build, lead, and motivate dynamic teams
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Knowledge of Southeast Asia and South Asia freight markets (not mandatory but advantageous for operational expertise)
