Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal guidance to regional affiliates based on specific needs and objectives.
- Draft and review contracts, legal documents, and correspondence.
- Identify and assess potential legal and contractual risks in projects and transactions propose strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Support contract negotiations and transactions as required.
- Communicate legal advice to internal stakeholders effectively.
- Monitor and address potential legal issues as they arise.
- Recommend legal strategies and actions in disputes, as well as support legal proceedings when applicable.
- Assist in developing and implementing internal contract review and risk management processes.
- Plan and execute legal projects, including internal training for affiliates, standardizing templates, and updating internal policies.
- Conduct legal research and stay informed on developments in international laws and regulations, particularly in the ASEAN jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with various departments and external parties as necessary.
- Perform other operational and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A recognized Degree in Law.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in international corporate legal affairs, with a preference for those from the construction sector.
- Strong understanding and practical knowledge of construction law and contracts.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledgeable about information security.
- High attention to detail, strong initiative, and a sense of responsibility.
- Familiarity with business operations and legal jurisdictions in Southeast Asia is an advantage.
