Position Overview :-
The Regional Cost Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing all cost-related activities within the region. This role ensures accurate cost analysis, budget control, and reporting, providing strategic insights to support management in driving profitability, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability. Perform cost analysis covering international market (USA, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea & India). This role will reports to Chief Financial Officer, Tissue International business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cost Management & Control
- Develop, implement, and maintain cost control systems, procedures, and policies across the region.
- Monitor direct and indirect costs, overheads, and project-related expenditures.
- Track variances between actual and standard/budgeted costs, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with corporate cost accounting policies and regional regulations.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support regional budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Provide cost analysis and input into pricing strategies, project tenders, and investment proposals.
- Collaborate with business units to develop accurate cost estimates and performance targets.
3. Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports, highlighting key variances and trends.
- Conduct profitability analysis by product, project, plant, or business unit.
- Provide management with actionable insights to optimize cost efficiency.
4. Business Partnering
- Work closely with plant controllers, project managers, supply chain, and operations teams.
- Support decision-making with data-driven analysis and recommendations.
- Act as a financial advisor for regional leadership on cost-related matters.
5. Internal Controls & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and audit requirements.
- Standardize costing practices across the region.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvements in cost accounting and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or ACCA preferred).
- Minimum 1015 years of relevant finance/costing experience, with at least 3 years in a regional or multi-country role.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Experience in FMCG, Manufacturing
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel/BI tools.
