Location: Pluak Daeng, Rayong
Responsibilities:
- Lead tooling design and development for foam injection molds, ensuring manufacturability, optimal foam flow, and surface quality standards for new product launches.
- Review tooling designs and conduct feasibility studies to guarantee tooling readiness for mass production.
- Manage tooling modification projects to minimize foam rework, scrap, and downtime across production sites.
- Develop and maintain tooling technical specifications, maintenance procedures, and standard documentation for Asia operations.
- Collaborate closely with global tooling and engineering teams to introduce new tooling technologies and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tooling performance, reduce costs, and improve process efficiency.
- Conduct lessons learned and root cause analyses from foam surface or tooling issues, ensuring preventive actions are implemented.
- Organize technical workshops and deliver training programs to strengthen the capability of regional tooling teams.
- Provide technical support and sign-off on foam tooling for other regions when required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in tooling design, manufacturing, and maintenance within the foam injection or automotive seating industry.
- Strong knowledge of reaction injection molding (RIM) process and foam tooling modification.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and CATIA experience in mold and fixture design is essential.
- Proven ability to lead multiple tooling projects concurrently and manage cross-functional communication.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Fluent English communication Mandarin is an advantage.
- Willing to travel regionally to support manufacturing sites and joint ventures.
