About the Role

We are hiring a Research & Development Specialist to join our R&D Center in Thailand. This role is positioned upstream, with a stronger emphasis on scientific research and academic rigor alongside applied product development. The successful candidate will operate confidently across both research environments and product development application, translating science into commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

New Product Development & Reformulation

• Execute product research and development to create and increase product value

• Create prototypes and analyze consumer research to meet consumer expectations

• Drive cost optimization through raw material rationalization, line problem-solving, and process improvements

• Manage formula approvals and technical documentation (ingredient lists, nutrition facts, formula sheets, manufacturing and production standards)

Development Research

• Initiate and lead research grounded in food science

• Formulate hypotheses, design experiments, and analyze data

• Collaborate with universities and research institutions to accelerate research outcomes

• Translate research findings into product development that drives business growth

Manufacturing Capability Support

• Support manufacturing and OEM capabilities, including raw material optimization

• Establish manufacturing and production conditions for new and renewal products

• Partner with manufacturing facilities in Thailand, Indonesia, and OEMs to stabilize production

• Collaborate with plants to improve production efficiency and reduce loss

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage actively with team members and stakeholders

• Foster open communication and build trusted relationships across functions

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science or equivalent; Master's degree is an advantage

• Minimum 4 years of product development experience in the food industry

• Background in Food & Beverages, Raw Materials, or Ingredients preferred

• Strong working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001, Halal, and food regulations across ASEAN markets

• Demonstrated project management capability

• Effective influencing, interpersonal, and communication skills

• Comfortable operating in a diverse, multicultural environment

• Strong command of written and spoken English
