The Regional Seed Production Manager is responsible for managing the regional seed production plan, quota allocation in each seed production area. Assisting Seed Production Manager to implement and drive strategies for success. Controlling the seed production process to meet the production target and company's quality standard. Coordinate with key stakeholders related functions both internal partnership include FS/SS, SPR, QA, R&D, Farm Operation and external partnership include government, ect. Analyze and summarize problems in the production to ensure a smooth production process, developing and engaging employees in the team including providing advice/recommendation for good production and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage regional seed production targets to meet specified quantity and quality goals.
- Allocate appropriate productivity quotas for SPAs based on employee capacity, production area potential, and farmer capability, including manpower, budget, and work environment support; submit for Seed Production Manager approval.
- Review and consolidate production input requirements (fertilizers, chemicals, equipment, etc.) for SPAs; summarize quantities needed and submit to SPD Manager for approval.
- Prepare seed production plans with AMs, including base yield adjustments, number of plants per contract, number of farmers, planting dates, number of seedlings, stock seed usage, and delivery plans; present summary for Production Manager approval.
- Manage regional operations, monitor production activities, provide problem-solving guidance, and deliver technical support to AMs and staff.
- Monitor implementation of CropIn and ABS programs as planned; prepare and submit monthly summary reports to the SPD Manager.
- Supervise and train regional team staff to ensure efficient and effective performance of duties.
- Development and involvement of AMs/staff in the team including providing advice / suggestions for good productivity.
- Participate in decision-making and seed quality verification when purchasing seeds from farmers.
- Conduct post-production performance analysis for each production area/SPA and establish improvement plans for the next production season.
- Manage seed purchase payments, farmer accounts receivable (AR), and other production-related costs.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager on planning, budgeting, and annual expenditures; ensure timely allocation of regional production resources; monitor and control approved budgets to ensure cost effectiveness and prevent overspending.
- Safeguard company assets and intellectual property (e.g., parental lines).
- Perform other assigned duties appropriate to the role, including ISO implementation and project leadership as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Agricultural or related field
- With at least 10-15 years. experience in seed production, seed technology, seed quality, agricultural production, community development, extension work and farming activities including open field and greenhouse operations.
- Knowledge in vegetable crop ,seed production, seed quality are preferable
- Plant Disease is advantage
- Good command of English
- Able to handle multiple tasks at once and works well under pressure
- Hands-on knowledge of crop production and management
- Analytical, conceptual thinking and result driven
- Computer literacy
