Job Description
- Lead the regional trade finance and credit risk agenda to support commercial and financial objectives.
- Define and implement the credit risk strategy in collaboration with regional finance and business leaders.
- Serve as the regional expert for customer financing initiatives and drive the rollout of financial solutions aligned with market needs.
- Build and maintain highlevel relationships with banks, fintech partners, and other financial institutions to support business growth.
- Exercise delegated authority for credit decisions, ensuring full understanding of risk exposure in all approvals.
- Monitor and mitigate commercial risks arising from customer deliveries, payment behavior, and overdue situations.
- Provide regular reporting including KPIs, portfolio metrics, bad debt provisions, and writeoffs to regional leadership.
- Drive operational excellence in credit processes, ensuring full compliance with global credit policies and standards.
- Act as the regional chair for the credit committee, facilitating escalations to global stakeholders when required.
- Oversee and guide country credit managers, ensuring consistency and alignment across all markets.
- Proactively identify emerging risks and market changes, functioning as the watchdog for commercial exposure.
- Collaborate extensively with crossfunctional teams and senior leaders across the region.
- Manage outsourced service partners where relevant, ensuring oversight, service quality, and adherence to authority limits.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with 10+ years of experience in trade finance and credit management.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP; experience with FSCM is a plus.
- Proven ability to work in international, matrixed environments and manage crossborder stakeholders.
- Strong communication, strategic thinking, independence, and integrity.
- Solid understanding of risk mitigation tools and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
