Regional Travel Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Regional Travel Manager to join our team in Bangkok. Reporting directly to the Regional Director of Sales, this role will lead a team of Regional Travel Planners and oversee the end-to-end management of FIT multi-country bookings across Southeast Asia.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring exceptional service delivery, driving booking conversion, managing VIP clients, and fostering collaboration between destination teams across the region. Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team of Regional Travel Planners, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Provide direction, support, and ongoing development opportunities to ensure team success.
  • Conduct regular performance management activities, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
  • Champion collaboration and communication across destination teams throughout Southeast Asia.

Client & Booking Management

  • Manage a centralized inbox for multi-country FIT bookings, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the booking process.
  • Qualify incoming leads and assign them to the appropriate destination teams while tracking progress and maximizing conversion rates.
  • Coordinate and consolidate quotations from multiple destinations into one seamless, standardized proposal.
  • Ensure all proposals are delivered within agreed turnaround times (48–72 hours) and meet company branding and quality standards.
  • Oversee booking execution, ensuring compliance with SOPs, SLAs, and customer requirements.
  • Manage VIP bookings, VIP arrivals, and FAM trip itinerary planning as required.
  • Handle customer escalations, complaints, incidents, and service recovery with professionalism and urgency.

Commercial Growth & Client Experience

  • Collaborate with the Regional Director of Sales and the Sales Manager for North America to identify growth opportunities with existing and new clients.
  • Drive upselling and cross-selling initiatives by recommending premium services and experiences.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback and NPS data to improve booking processes and service delivery.
  • Identify emerging client trends and recommend products and experiences aligned with market demand.
  • Support the development of multi-country specialists within destination teams.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure consistency and quality across all multi-country proposals.
  • Monitor workflow and service delivery across destination teams to maintain exceptional standards.
  • Facilitate in-destination coordination for amendments, special requests, and additional services.
  • Assist with product training initiatives and destination updates for both internal teams and external partners.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of management experience within the tourism industry.
  • Proven background in reservations, sales, customer service, contact centers, or travel operations.
  • Strong destination knowledge of Thailand and general knowledge of key destinations across Southeast Asia.
  • Experience working with international markets, particularly North America.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Travel Studio is an advantage.
