In this role, you will be pivotal in shaping the security posture of the organization while ensuring platform reliability. Your contributions will directly impact the safety and continuity of our services, making it a critical position within the team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, where your expertise in infrastructure security will help us build processes from the ground up. Accountabilities
- Keep the platform reliable and secure by participating in on-call rotation and owning security incident response planning.
- Prepare for and pass security audits, ensuring continuous compliance with ISO 27001 and other frameworks.
- Implement the principle of least privilege and drive network segmentation and zero-trust initiatives.
- Manage vulnerabilities systematically, overseeing the triage process and coordinating remediation efforts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering, platform engineering, or SRE with a strong security focus.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes security, including RBAC and network policies.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or PCI-DSS.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, preferably with GCP experience.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using tools like Terraform and GitOps workflows.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in translating technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bonus: Experience with CNCF security tools and programming languages like Rust or Go.
